Diploma in Pharmacy (D-Pharm) – (No of seats-60): A person who has completed D.Pharm. can be employed as a Registered Pharmacist in a community pharmacy (Medical Store/ Chemists & Druggists) or a hospital pharmacy. It is the minimum qualification to practice pharmacy; therefore, it is mandatory that all dispensing of prescription medicines has to be done under the supervision of a pharmacist only. He/She can also work as a medical representative & also work in an industry.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who have passed 10+2 with 50% mark in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics
Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy (B-Pharm) (No of seats-60): As per the present curriculums in India, a B.Pharm degree mainly prepares the candidates to work in the pharmaceutical industry. The programme has been designed to integrate the teaching of basic science along with the practice of pharmacy. The course emphasizes the importance of theoretical study, laboratory experiments and also interdisciplinary communication and research.
One can enroll for masters as well as Ph.D in desired field of study after obtaining B.Pharm degree in India. Learning opportunities for higher studies exist in both the practice as well as research streams.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who have passed 10+2 with 50% mark in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics or Diploma in Pharmacy (For lateral entry in Second year) with 60% marks.
Master Degree in Pharmacy (M-Pharm-Pharmaceutics) (No of seats-18): Master of Pharmacy is a future specialization programme in th pharmacy. The M. Pharm programm e lead to specialization in formulation development, manufacturing technology, and process development areas, which are essential specializations for manufacturing of traditional and novel drug delivery systems.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who have passed B.Pharm with 60% mark from any recognized University.
Infrastructure
Class Room: We provide well designed, well ventilated and well lit class rooms for technical teaching.
Laboratories: Pharmacology, Institute of pharmacy has 15 well equipped specious laboratories for all subjects of Pharmaceutical sciences (Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacognosy, Medicinal Chemistry, Microbiology, Bio-pharmaceutics) as per education regulations laid down by PCI and AICTE, New Delhi and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. Experiments are designed on the basis of theory concept.
Library: We have a rich collection of printed as well as electronic resources of books, journals, magazine etc.
Computer Facilities: College has developed computer lab with broad band internet connection, with sufficient number of computers. With locall Wi-Fi facility.
Hostel: Available with 24 hours power back up with centrally located dinning hall.
Medicinal Garden: The institute has developed a good number of medicinal plants for research in Pharmacognosy and Phyto-chemistry.
